With Thanksgiving coming up tomorrow (how did it sneak up on us so quickly this year btw?!?) I thought it would be the perfect time to take a few moments to reflect…to reflect and to truly recognize what I am thankful for in my life.
I am thankful for many things. My health, my career that takes me places I have never been and introduces me to so many inspiring people, my husband, Puffin who brings me so much joy every day, my amazing friends and family members….I am truly blessed in so many ways.
My life is in no way perfect- no ones life is- but I know I am lucky in so many ways.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the daily grind, the daily struggles we all go through, and WE ALL go through them…no one has it easy but we all have the opportunity to take the cards we are dealt and use them the best way we can.
This year has been full of highs and lows for me…and it’s taken me on an emotional roller coaster….and at times I have felt like it’s too much to handle. But it’s not too much. Even when things felt bleak, I pulled through as I always do, and I learned things in the process. I am thankful for those ups and downs, because without them, I wouldn’t know how capable and strong I am.
So this year, really take a moment to appreciate the things you love in life- the people you love and thank them for being a part of your journey.
Tomorrow…whether you’re with family or friends….recognize where you are in life and be thankful for all you have been through. Recognize how lucky you are to be on this earth and living your best life…and promise yourself that you will continue to live that best life.
For a day, stop obsessing about what you need to do, how you want to change, how many pieces of pie you eat and just be present. Be open and be happy. Tomorrow is about celebrating all the good things in life, including the delicious foods we all love to eat…and Friday is when you can start kicking ass again.
I am thankful for all of you- I love sharing my thoughts with you and I hope to make a difference in your day every now and then….because writing to you makes a difference to me every day.
