Detoxifying Face Masks

I love a good face mask. I do one usually once a week. Depending on the weather and what my skin needs, I rely on different masks and sort of cycle through my favorites. This time of year, I love a detoxifying mask to reset and balance my skin post-summer heat and before the temps drop.
I usually apply them post shower, or at night when I am watching TV- even though Ben always laughs and gets a kick out of my green goo covered face! HA ! Sorry babe..

My skin tends to be on the dry side almost always, so it’s important to me that a mask doesn’t strip my skin, but still deep cleans. If you have oily skin, you may be able to handle a mask that is a bit stronger! You sort of have to try it out and see- everyones skin is different.

Here are my favorite detoxifying face masks that will deep clean your skin and leave you glowy and gorgeous!

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask:

This clay mask deeply cleans pores, absorbs oil and eliminates dead skin cells- which will leave your skin fresh, soft and glowing.  It also has aloe vera, which will help prevent against excessive dryness- so this one if good for those with dryer skin.

Glam Glow Supermud:

Great for acne-prone and combination skin.  It has charcoal in it, which acts as a magnet to pull out impurities from deep within your pores.  This one is the real deal!  A little bit pricey, but a small amount goes a long way.  And it is really that good- its worth the price tag!

Sephora Collection Bubble Mask (Detoxifying and Oxygenating):

This starts out as a gel, then turns into a bubbly foam when you apply it.  It is powerful, yet gentle…and will leave your skin feeling totally rejuvenated!  Something about the bubbling just feels amazing!

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask:

I LOVE this one.  It smells amazing-like pumpkin pie all over your face, and it really makes my skin glow.  It exfoliates with natural enzymes, so it is gentle but really gets the job done.  And its fall, so anything pumpkin for me!!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay:

This is one of the best masks out there, in my opinion, and its super cheap ($12.99 for a tub that will last you a long time!)  It really gets in there and deep cleans….but if you have sensitive skin or dry skin, make sure not to leave it on too long or use it too often.  It is made of 100% natural calcium bentonite clay, so no weird additives, which is great.  Mix it with pure apple cider vinegar instead of water to amp up the cleansing and glowing skin results!

Happy Masking!
