Peaches ‘N Cream Smoothie

So, Labor Day marks the “end of summer….but summer is actually NOT over until September 22nd, which is the official last day of the season.  So, we still have a little more time, which always makes me happy.

A little more time to enjoy the delicious fruits that summer has to offer-peaches being a favorite of mine.  They probably won’t be as delicious as the temps drop, so take advantage while you still can!

You know I love my morning protein smoothies (and post-workout shakes too!) and I prefer them to taste like dessert…which is why I love this Peaches ‘N Cream Smoothie.

It’s a summer peach recipe that I love, and will continue to make into the fall, because why not?!  You can always use frozen peaches in this recipe instead of fresh!


Peaches ‘n Cream Smoothie


Ingredients:

1 ripe peach, sliced. OR 1 cup frozen peaches

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1/2 ripe banana

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp honey or agave

4-5 ice cubes

dash of cinnamon

 

Directions:

Blend all ingredients together in the blender, addd ice last.  Blend until all ice is crushed and the smoothie has a thick, slushy consistency.

Garnish with a peach slice and enjoy!
