A little bit of shameless promotion with this post my loves!
Today, my new feature film Hard Sell is released in theaters, on iTunes and On Demand!! I am VERY proud of this film- I loved it from the moment I read the script until the last cut of the film was put together.
Hard Sell is a classic coming of age story- its funny, emotional, heart-wrenching at times and very relatable. People keep comparing it to the classic “Risky Business” which of course if a great compliment to hear!!
I star alongside Skylar Gisondo who plays Hardy and Kristen Chenoweth who plays his unstable mother. They are both phenomenal actors…and phenomenal people too…I had the greatest time shooting this movie with so many talented, passionate people.
I play Bo- a young runaway free-spirited girl with a very troubled past.
I LOVED playing Bo…she is such a complex character…one of those girls who says whatever is on her mind and just sort of goes with the flow always, which I admire since I am not really like that personally in real life as Katrina Bowden. She is funny, insightful and lacks most human inhibitions…which makes her very likable but also starts a bit of trouble. As an actor, I always look for roles that challenge me in a way I have never before been challenged…and this role really delivered. I got to play with emotions I hadn’t been able to in other roles and that taught me a lot.
I don’t want to give away too much of the plot because I really hope you watch the movie, but I will tell you that it will definitely make you feel something…and it’ll have you laughing. Here is the trailer if you want a little peek!
Our director, Sean Nalaboff, also wrote the film and this is his directorial debut. We shot the film in Long Island- deep in the beautiful suburbs- which is where Sean is from. I loved working there because I didn’t know much about Long Island, which is weird considering I lived in NYC for 9 years!
The whole cast and lots of crew are getting together for the premier screening tomorrow night and I can’t wait to see them all again and celebrate what we made together!
Here are the links to get the movie- it’ll make a great weekend watch!
